LOS ANGELES, Nov 3 — Mindy Kaling is reportedly working on bringing hit 90s rom-com Four Weddings and a Funeral to TV.

Deadline reported that the star of The Mindy Project will write and executive produce the series for US streaming site Hulu.

Richard Curtis, who wrote the film, is also said to be on board as an executive producer.

Deadline added that the series could follow a different set of characters in a different location each season, with the lead staying the same.

The 1994 film, which made a star of Hugh Grant, tells the story of his character Charles, who lives in London and falls in love with an American called Carrie, played by Andie MacDowell.

It shows Charles and his group of friends navigating the four nuptials and one sad farewell.
