Rain and Kim Tae-hee to become parents

SEOUL, May 23 — Popular Korean idols Rain and Kim Tae-hee have announced that they are expecting their first child together.

Her agency, Lua Entertainment, made an official announcement today to confirm the good news.

In the statement, the couple thanked fans for their support, saying they “are always thankful to those who have sent their congratulations and love to them as a couple.”

The actress is currently 15 weeks pregnant and her due date is estimated to be in late October to early November.

Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, and Kim married in a low-key ceremony on January 19 at the Gahoe-dong Cathedral in Jongjo, Seoul.

They met through a couple CF gig in 2012 and confirmed that they were dating in 2013.
