LONDON, Sept 29 — English band The XX has announced it will perform a round of shows in South America next year, marking its first live appearance in three years.

The group, which is expected to release its long-awaited follow-up to second album Coexist this year, will play at a trio of Lollapalooza festivals across Brazil, Argentina and Chile next spring, joining a star line-up which includes The Strokes, The Weeknd, The 1975, Metallica and Tove Lo.

The first Lollapalooza, in Brazil, will take place from March 25-26, with Lollapalooza Argentina from March 31-April 1, followed by Lollapalooza Chile on April 1-2.

Artists, The Chainsmokers, Flume, Duran Duran, Cage the Elephant, Melanie Martinez, Tegan and Sara, have also been confirmed for Lollapalooza South America, with some “special guests” yet to be revealed (via NME). — AFP-Relaxnews
