Second season of ‘Attack on Titan’ announced for spring 2017

TOKYO, July 5 — The second season of Attack on Titan will premiere in spring 2017 reports Anime News Network.

The team behind the anime franchise revealed the news at the “Shingeki Matsuri” event on Sunday, along with a new visual and the second season’s staff and cast.

The first season, which inspired two compilation anime films in 2014 and 2015, first aired from April-September 2013, with the second season originally slated to premiere in 2016.

Created by Hajime Isayama, the original manga has also inspired various manga spinoffs, several novel series, a two-part live-action film project, and a spinoff live-action television series. ― AFP-Relaxnews
