LOS ANGELES, May 15 — You won’t believe who knew about Jon Snow’s fate (and why he was privy to the secret!) while everyone else was kept guessing.
Believe it or not, Game of Thrones star Kit Harington actually revealed the Lord Commander’s fate to a police officer after he was stopped for speeding.
According to People, Harington admitted to Jimmy Fallon while on The Tonight Show that he was going over the speed limit while on his way to his parents’ house one day when he was pulled over by a police officer who gave him an ultimatum.
“He said, ‘look there’s two ways we could do this. You could either follow me back to the police station now and I book you in. Or you can tell me whether you live in the next series of Game of Thrones’.”
Harington revealed that he let the police officer in on the truth and was free to drive away without any punishment. “He says, ‘Mmmhmm. On your way, Lord Commander’,” Harington said. “‘Keep the speed down this far south of the wall.’ Isn’t that brilliant?”
Harington also revealed that while he was sworn to secrecy by the show’s writers, he did let out the huge secret to a few others: “I told mum and dad straight away.”
