LOS ANGELES, April 6 — Amazon Studios’ Hand of God is introducing Faye Dunaway to its cast for the crime drama’s second season.

Dunaway won an Academy Award for her leading role in 1977’s Network, and two additional Golden Globes for Ellis Island (1985) and Gia (1998).

The original series debuted in September 2015 after a successful pilot the previous year, and saw Ron Perlman (Beauty and the Beast) become Judge Pernell Harris who, prompted by tragic family events and what he believes to be the voice of God, takes the law into his own hands.

Audiences and critics did not reach consensus over the merits of Hand of God season one, with review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes scoring it with a 30 per cent approval rating from reviewers but a 76 per cent rating from viewers.
