NEW YORK, April 5 — After her revelation that she drinks a US$220 (RM880) smoothie every morning, it’s come to a point where perhaps it’s more logical to ask: Which ‘healthy ritual’ won’t Gwyneth Paltrow try at least once?

In her latest jaw-dropping revelation, the 43-year-old mother of two said that she has had bees sting her to improve her radiant skin, despite admitting, “It’s painful.”

“Generally, I’m open to anything,” she told The New York Times in an interview. “I’ve been stung by bees. It’s a thousands of years old treatment called apitherapy.

“People use it to get rid of inflammation and scarring. It’s pretty incredible if you research it. But, man, it’s painful.”

While conceding that she’s a sucker for the latest experimental beauty treatment, Paltrow said even she has her limits.

“I’m always the guinea pig to try everything. I’ve got to try them all,” Paltrow said. “I love acupuncture. Also I just heard of a service called a sound bath, which might be too hippie-ish even for the likes of me. It’s some new healing modality. I might not be able to handle it.”

So what’s next on her bucket list?

“I haven’t done cryotherapy yet, but I do want to try that,” she added.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, cryotherapy is “the use of extremely low temperatures to treat symptoms such as tissue damage, decrease inflammation, increase cell rejuvenation, improve skin tone and reduce signs of ageing.”

Whatever happened to a simple jog around the block and a weekly spa treat?
