KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 — The 88th Academy Awards is just around the corner — and this year, guess who is going to represent Malaysia to cover the star-studded red carpet event at the Oscars?
That’s right, it is none other than Malaysia’s top television host Datuk Aznil Nawawi, better known as Pak Nil!
Last February, the 53-year-old TV presenter was also chosen to cover the event where he managed to talk to Zoe Saldana, JK Simmons and Robert Duvall.
Before this, in January 2015, he was also there for E! Entertainment programme called Selfie Pak Nil Di LA where he met Giuliana Rancic, Ryan Seacrest, Kim Kardashian and Christina Milian.
His programme even won a Gold award for “Best Media Solution — TV: Online Video” at the Spark Awards 2015 in Singapore.
This year, he will be representing Malaysia once again to cover the prestigious event for HBO Sentral, and also to shoot another E! Entertainment programme titled Pak Nil Goes to Hollywood, which is said to be the sequel to Selfie Pak Nil Di LA, New Straits Times reports.
The programme will premiere on March 14 at 10pm on E! Channel (Ch712), Astro.
According to Astro Awani, this year, Pak Nil will also be meeting the hosts of Fashion Police which includes Giuliana Rancic, one of the members from the Kardashian family, cast members from Rich Kids of Beverly Hills and more.
The 2016 Oscars will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, and Pak Nil is already on his way to Los Angeles. — TheHive.Asia
