KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 — The lead singer of the Malaysian post-hardcore band, Love Me Butch, Syarul Reza has officially left the band for good.

The remaining band members; Wing Meng, Kevin Kong and Jana Nair — have bid their farewells to the lead singer as they had put on their final show at Laundry, The Curve on Tuesday.

Love Me Butch said on their Facebook that they will still continue as a band even without Syarul, but with an all-new sound and a new lead singer too!

“Rest assured, we will still be making music and will be back in no time,” the band posted on their official Facebook page.

Love Me Butch has been in the local music scene for more than 15 years now. The band has won and was nominated for quite a number of awards and recognitions over the years.

Some of them include; Best New English Artiste of 2002 at AIM Awards, No. 1 on Audioleaf.com (Japan) Charts for 7 weeks, Best Independent Band 2005 in ROTTW Magazine Poll 2005, nominated for Best Rock 2006 at Malaysia English Top 10 Awards by Hitz.FM and more.

While many long-time fans are saddened by the news and say that the band will not sound the same as before now that Syarul is gone, some claim that they will still and always support the band.
