LOS ANGELES, Sept 3 — Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” is one of the anthems of the summer for many, but perhaps none more poignantly so than a young cancer patient in Los Angeles.

According to his dad Jerry Succar, seven-year-old Jeremiah Succar has had one tune stuck in his head since he was diagnosed with stage-four atypical rhabdoid teratoid in May: “Fight Song”.

Jerry told People magazine, “Jeremiah loves ‘Fight Song’. He memorised the lyrics after three or four times listening to it. He used to sing it when he got a lot of headaches, but now he sings it in the morning, before bed and during shots he has to get.”

The hospital added that Jeremiah’s rare form of cancer is “an aggressive, fast-growing tumour that occurs in the brain and spinal cord.”
