KUALA LUMPUR, May 21 — YTL Corporation Bhd’s (YTL) pre-tax profit fell to RM621.12 million in the third quarter (Q3) ended March 31, 2015 from RM674.06 million in the same quarter last year.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, YTL said revenue slipped to RM4.0 billion from RM4.55 billion previously.
“The construction, property investment and development, managing services and other segments contributed to the lower pre-tax profit for the quarter under review,” it said.
“On prospects, we expect to achieve satisfactory performance for our construction segment for the financial year ending June 30, 2015 as the segment’s contracts are mainly related to the group’s property development and infrastructure works,” it added. — Bernama
