KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 — Magnum Bhd’s pre-tax profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2014 rose to RM94.58 million from RM86.35 million in the same period last year.
Revenue grew to RM969.6 million from RM700.32 million, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
“The increase in pre-tax profit is mainly due to fair value gain of quoted investments, lower operating expenses and lower finance cost,” it said. —Bernama
