KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 — A deputy minister’s aide is under police investigation after he was caught filming under the skirt of a woman at an optical shop here.

Sentul police chief Assistant Commissioner R. Munusamy confirmed that police have received a report lodged by the woman in her 30s, but declined to comment further.

It is believed the incident was recorded through a close-circuit television footage while the deputy minister was present for an eye inspection.

A closed-circuit camera footage of the upskirt incident in a prominent shopping mall near Sri Hartamas has gone viral on social media.

The one minute-and-46-second clip showed the unnamed aide dressed in a dark blue, long-sleeved shirt scooting one seat over to the woman dressed in a black dress while she was performing a check-up on Mohd Azis, dressed in a long-sleeved grey shirt.

During the check-up, the aide could be seen holding his smartphone with his left hand and with the screen facing upwards near the woman, at times dipping it below her dress.

Deputy Home Minister Datuk Azis Jamman later told Malay Mail that he sacked the aide immediately after being shown the footage.
