KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak seemed to be catching up with his mother Tun Rahah Mohamed Noah tonight, after he was believed to have left his mansion in Taman Duta here that is still being raided by police.

A Facebook post by one of his aides said Najib had a chat with his mother while waiting for the Isya’ and terawih prayers tonight.

He was shown wearing the same red baju Melayu he had on last night while praying in the Kg Baru mosque, but paired with a different pair of pants.

His mother was clad in the white telekung, a covering worn by most Malay women while performing prayers.

His wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, was not in the photo.

Earlier today, a white Toyota Vellfire luxury MPV was seen leaving Najib’s house. He is thought to have been inside.

The MPV left the compound on Jalan Langgak Duta and headed towards Bukit Tunku at around 7.05pm escorted by two police outriders and a squad car.

Najib’s lawyer, Datuk Harpal Singh Grewal, previously told reporters the former PM is not under arrest and may leave the mansion as he pleases.

The MPV was later seen returning to Najib's home by around 9.30pm.
