PUTRAJAYA, May 16 — Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said current fuel retail prices will remain for the time being.
“There will not be any hike or reductions. It will stay,” he told a press conference at the Perdana Leadership Foundation, here.
He said the government will subsidise the fuel prices if required to keep them as they are.
“If it is not enough, then the government will subsidise,” he said.
The fuel retail price over the past seven weeks have remained at RM2.20/L for RON95, RM2.47/L for RON97 and RM2.18/L for diesel.
