PETALING JAYA, May 10 — Pakatan Harapan chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said today it was “bullshit” that the Attorney-General claimed to be advising the government as the government is currently non-existent.
Following the delay in his swearing in as the seventh prime minister, Dr Mahathir said no one is entitled to claim themselves to be advising the non-existent government.
“There is no government… anyone who claims to be advising the government is talking a lot of nonsense.
“I hear that the Pendakwa Raya, AG, claims he is advising the government. Bullshit,” said the PH prime minister candidate at a press conference at Sheraton Petaling Jaya hotel.
Earlier during the press conference, Dr Mahathir said there was great urgency to swear in a new head of government for the country to function.
This morning, Malay daily Utusan Malaysia reported that the Attorney-General Chambers (AGC) remains as an advisor for the Pakatan Harapan-led government and to prosecute any criminal offences without taking into account the current political scenario.
The AG, Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali, said as a government body, its principle is to uphold the laws.
Dr Mahathir said last night that his government is not seeking revenge and will follow the rule of law.
