KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 — MIC today announced its GE14 candidate list, and it has been confirmed that youth chief C. Sivarraajh is Barisan Nasional’s pick for the Cameron Highlands seat.

This means BN component party The People’s Progressive Party (MyPPP) will not get their wish to contest the federal seat.

MyPPP is staking a claim on the seat held by fallen giant Datuk Seri G. Palanivel, the former MIC president who fell out of favour with BN, and insists the seat will be lost unless it is allowed to contest there.

MIC president Datuk Seri S. Subramaniam will defend his incumbent Segamat seat.
