CHERAS, April 22 — All incumbent DAP MPs in Selangor have been announced as election candidates and will defend their respective seats in GE14.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng announced this today at a DAP Selangor event in Cheras Traders Square, Cheras Selatan here.

For federal seats, Selangor DAP chairman Tony Pua is set to defend his Damansara seat following the Election Commission's redelineation announcement.

Incumbent Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo, Klang MP Charles Santiago and Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming are also set to defend their respective seats in the coming election.

Meanwhile, DAP also announced their candidacy for 16 state assembly seats with seven new faces set to contest for the first time.

For state seats, former Selangor Local Government, New Village Development and Legalising of Factories committee chairman Ean Yong Hian Wah will contest the Seri Kembangan seat for the third time.

He is joined by Ng Suee Lim (Sekinchan), Lee Kee Hiong (Kuala Kubu Baru), Balakong (Eddie Ng), Kinrara (Ng Sze Han), Rajiv Rishyakaran (Bukit Gasing), Teng Chang Kim (Sg Pinang), V. Ganabathirau (Kota Kemuning) and Lau Weng San (Banting).

Among the new faces set to contest in the state assembly seats are DAP Legal Bureau Secretary Michelle Ng who will be replacing incumbent Subang Jaya assemblyman Hannah Yeoh who has been selected to contest in the Segambut federal seat.

She is joined by Lim Yi Wei (Kampung Tunku), Brian Lai (Teratai), Edry Faizal Yusof (Dusun Tua), Jamaliah Jamaluddin (Bandar Utama), Tony Leong (Pandamaran) and Ronnie Liu (Sg Pelek).
