KUALA LUMPUR, April 20 — Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) chief executive officer Datuk Azhar Ahmad has brushed aside allegations by irresponsible quarters whose vicious email accused him of not discharging his duties with trust and not helping the Malays in doing business.

In a statement here today, he said the email also mentioned about him slowing down the application of credit facilities for entrepreneurs, causing them to wind up the businesses due to lack of funding assistance.

Azhar said the allegations hurled at him were baseless and untrue.

“This (allegation) is akin to smearing my credibility as chief executive officer of PUNB and tarnishing the image of the company in general,” he added.
