KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 — Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) official music video was leaked online today… by none other than the band that performed it.

The music video in Bahasa Malaysia titled Bina Harapan Negara (Building the Nation’s Hope) garnered more than 10,000 views within the two hours of its release on the Facebook page of local band Vitamin M.

PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil confirmed the music video is one of the four-party pact’s official campaign videos for PH, but clarified it has yet to be officially launched.

“There are a few songs, this is one of our campaign songs.

“We have not officially launched them but we have started using them,” he told Malay Mail when contacted, without elaborating on the official launch date.

Playing on the federal Opposition pact’s name, which means “hope”, and that of its aspirations, the music video kicks off with the sound of an alarm clock ringing takes viewers before taking viewers on a highly visual journey across Malaysia, including views of the longhouses typically found in the interiors of Sabah and Sarawak.

The 3.40-minute music video also features the jigsaw puzzle as a recurring theme, with pieces of it being passed from person to person, meant to portray the importance of each vote cast.

PH chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and its president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail also have a cameo in the music video.
