KUANTAN, April 11 — PAS information chief Nasrudin Hassan Tantawi has been named as the party’s candidate to contest the Indera Mahkota parliamentary seat in the 14th general elections (GE14).

PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang made the announcement at the end of his talk at the Pahang Teraju PAS Election Message programme in Cenderawasih here last night, which was greeted by the cries of ‘“Allahu Akbar” (Allah is great) by the party’s supporters.

“Why is he contesting here? It is because he lives here, he has knowledge and qualification and can argue well...he is not quiet. As such, he is the right candidate to contest Indera Mahkota seat,” he said.

Meanwhile, Pahang PAS commissioner Rosli Jabar said the party would contest all 14 parliamentary seats in the state and at least 40 state seats.
