SHAH ALAM, April 9 — Selangor Pakatan Harapan (PH) is still facing difficulty finalising its full list of candidates for state seats in the 14th General Election (GE14) ahead of the nomination date which is expected to be announced soon by the Election Commission.

Selangor PH election director Dr Xavier Jayakumar was previously reported as saying that the distribution of the Selangor state seats was expected to be finalised in mid-March or at the latest, before the dissolution of Parliament.

The situation remained unclear when on Wednesday (April 4), Selangor PH chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said that the coalition needed another day or two to resolve the matter.

However, Mohamed Azmin, who is also Selangor Mentri Besar, when met after the dissolution of the state assembly today, admitted that Selangor PH had yet to finalise the seat distribution as it was still screening candidates for two out of the 56 state seats.
