KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 18 —  Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak today questioned Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on who were those labelling  him a dictator.

Salleh said the former prime minister had come out with a blog posting titled The Dictator yesterday, which was basically an exercise in sarcasm and reverse-psychology to deflect the allegation that he was a dictator and kleptocrat when he was Malaysia’s Prime Minister for 22 years.

“Mahathir ended his posting by saying, “So carry on calling me an authoritarian dictator, a Mahazalim and Mahafiraun, who was undemocratic, and has become super rich through corruption. It is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”

“The real truth is, those who called Mahathir “an authoritarian dictator, a Mahazalim and Mahafiraun, who was undemocratic, and has become super rich through corruption” are those in Pakatan Harapan,”  Salleh said in his latest blog post today.

The minister added that Mahathir could have forgotten the crucial point that those people had become his current allies and political comrades.

“...or is he really trying to ‘sindir’ or insinuate his own political allies?” Salleh added. — Bernama
