SEREMBAN, May 14 — Indian youths should grab the opportunities provided by the government currently especially in the business sector to enable them to compete and improve their living standard.

Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Datuk M. Saravanan said the government had provided various opportunities to all races including the Indians but if these were ignored, they would be wasted.

“This is the only country that provides numerous opportunities for the youths but what is more important is that the youths themselves determine their future.

“It is the responsibility of the youths today to strive, if we look at the competition, it is no longer the Malays or Chinese particularly in business, but our competitors are the Indonesians and Bangladeshis who are seen actively doing business regardless of the location including at the night markets... they must open up their eyes and come out of poverty,” he said after officiating the Ardi Bina Hardware, here today. — Bernama
