KUANTAN, March 26 — Tengku Puan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah shared with the people popular Pahang ‘patin masak tempoyak’ recipes at a cookery event held at Dataran Teluk Chempedak, near here, today.

The special thing was the patin fish in fermented durian gravy dishes were prepared according to Pekan, Temerloh and Jerantut traditional way of cooking using ‘musang king’ durian as the special ingredient.

Azizah accompanied by celebrity chef, Nik Michael Imran spent about three hours to come up with her specialties which included her family’s favourite ‘lempeng durian’ and ‘jemput-jemput pisang’.

People present at the event did not miss the opportunity to observe her culinary skills and copy the recipes in the sweltering heat.

The event held in conjunction with ‘Moh ke Kuantan’ programme organised by Pahang Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DPMM) and Pahang Tourism also featured popular Kuantan food stalls among them Jaman Tori and Nasi Kukus Mama. — Bernama
