KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2 — The five victims injured in the incident involving the collapsed pedestrian bridge near the Abdullah Hukum Apartment in Jalan Bangsar last Wednesday are now in stable condition. 

A spokesman from the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) when contacted by Bernama said the post mortem conducted on the body of a Vietnamese man Tran Xuan Vang, 21, who was killed in the incident, was also completed at the medical centre.  

However he declined to elaborate further on the patients receiving treatment at PPUM.

Meanwhile SP Setia Bhd Group Branding and Communications head Adelene Wong said the company was still awaiting the investigation reports from various parties, including the Fire and Rescue Department for further action.

“Several of the dead victim’s family members had also visited the scene of the incident yesterday,” she said.

In the incident at about 3.30pm, the 70-metre pedestrian which was under construction to connect KL Eco City with the Mid Valley shopping mall collapsed, killing one worker at the scene while five others were reported injured. — Bernama
