GEORGE TOWN, Oct 31 — The DAP-led Penang state government’s Budget 2017 will be tabled at the State Assembly sitting on Nov 15, according to State Assembly Speaker Datuk Law Choo Kiang.

He said the budget would be tabled by Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, followed by the sitting from Nov 17 to 25.

When asked about other motions to be tabled or debated during the sitting, he said he had yet to receive any as the assemblymen still had time to submit their motions.

He said this at a press conference on the Penang Youth Parliament 2016 scheduled to be held on Nov 6.

Law said 20 individuals with high potentials had been selected to participate in the one-day programme, which would also include a session with the State Assembly Speaker.

He said he anticipated many new and progressive suggestions would be made by the members of the Youth Parliament, which could later be considered for implementation in the state. — Bernama
