Boy falls to death trying to retrieve bag flung by schoolmate

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 — Azim Hakimi Abu Shuja, 15, died at his Putrajaya school this morning after falling from the third storey while helping a friend get back his bag that had been thrown by another schoolmate.

Malay news channel Astro Awani reported the death was confirmed by Putrajaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Rosly Hasan.

According to the report, the incident took place about 9.40am at SMK Presint 9 (2).

The Third Former was reported to have lost his footing after making a leap to grab a bag while on the third-level of the five-storey school building and fell.

He reportedly died on the spot.

His body has been taken to the Putrajaya Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
