AMPANG, July 5 — Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) asked Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today to participate in its next forum where the former deputy prime minister can address publicly all the new allegations against him.

Despite a falling-out over its previous Nothing To Hide 2.0 forum, JMM president Azwandin Hamzah said Muhyiddin can choose the time and place for the next talk to give his account of his alleged personal affairs.

“These are moral issues, and there needs to be a platform for the people to hear the explanation,” Azwandin told a press conference at JMM’s office here.

JMM’s previous talk last Sunday saw a walkout from the attendees after it became apparent that Muhyiddin will not be attending the event.

The Pagoh MP had claimed to have never been invited or agreed to attend the forum, and the forum was later used as a platform to attack Muhyiddin.

Azwandin also defended JMM’s organisation of Sunday’s event.

“I don’t think there is anything wrong for an NGO to invite a politician to explain his side of things. We did not have an intention to attack him if he can explain himself well,” he said.

He also asked Muhyiddin not to divert from the real issue at hand.

“He is turning this matter into an issue about invitation, which is a petty issue,” he said.

“The real issue is a moral issue and he should not confuse the public,” he added.

He however said that he “respected” Muhyiddin’s statements denying his attendance from the event.

Yesterday, Muhyiddin labelled JMM, as organisers of the event, as “morally bankrupt”.
