KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 ― Datuk Seri Najib Razak does not receive any additional income from any company apart from government remuneration for his ministerial portfolios, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said today.
Azalina also said Najib, as both prime minister and finance minister, does not receive any benefit in the form of corporate credit cards for his own use.
“The prime minister does not receive any other payment from companies and does not receive any benefits in the form of corporate credit cards,” the minister in charge of parliamentary affairs said in her one paragraph parliamentary reply to Kampar MP Dr Ko Chung Sen.
Dr Ko had asked Najib if he receives any other additional remuneration apart from what he is already entitled to.
The DAP lawmaker had also asked if Najib currently receives any other income from companies and if the latter enjoys any corporate credit card benefits.
Additionally, the opposition lawmaker asked if any of the additional income was being taxed by the Inland Revenue Board.
In his queries however, Dr Ko did not specify any company.
