Lorry driver’s body found floating in Tasik Taman Jaya

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22 — The body of a man believed to be the lorry driver of an English-language newspaper company was found floating in Tasik Taman Jaya near Amcorp Mall here today.

Petaling Jaya Section 7 Fire and Rescue Department operation officer Abdul Rahman Abdullah said the body was found about five metres from the lake side and  brought up by his personnel at 5.36pm.

“The body has been sent to the University of Malaya Medical Centre and the case has been handed over to the police for further action,” he said when contacted by Bernama.

He said a fire engine with eight personnel rushed to the scene at 5.26pm after receiving a call from the public about discovering the body.

Initial report revealed the victim’s wife had lodged a police report yesterday when her husband did not return home. — Bernama
