KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 5 — Malaysia Airlines (MAB) has allowed check-in baggage on its London route after initially limiting the service on all Europe flights, but the airline maintained restrictions on its flights to Amsterdam and Paris from tonight till tomorrow.

The national carrier earlier today prohibited check-in baggage on its Europe routes owing to unseasonably strong head winds that affected the airline’s ability to carry baggage and cargo.

“Normal baggage allowance on Malaysia Airlines’ flights to London, operated by the A380 aircraft, has been restored with immediate effect.

“Baggage limitations however, still apply for flights to Amsterdam and Paris on 5-6 January 2016,” MAB said in a travel advisory on its website.

In its earlier announcement on limitation of check-in baggage for Europe routes, MAB only allowed cabin baggage up to 7kg, with Economy Class passengers allowed to bring one piece up to that weight, while Business and First Class passengers were allowed to bring two pieces totalling 14kg.
