KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — A junior PKR leader today demanded Azmin Ali explain why he ceased objecting to the construction of the Kinkara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex) and Langat 2 water treatment plant after becoming Selangor mentri besar.
Badrul Hisham Shaharin, popularly known as Chegubard, pointed out that Azmin and PKR had both used the two controversial projects as the given reasons to oust Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim as Selangor MB throughout the year.
“Kidex, Langat 2. These were the reasons to remove Khalid.
“Was it part of a conspiracy to topple him? Is Kidex bad under Khalid but now good under Azmin?” Badrul Hisham told reporters at a news conference here.
The former PKR supreme council member pointed out that many Selangor Pakatan Rakyat (PR) assemblymen who had protested against Kidex were now “quiet” on the issue after Azmin took over as MB.
“Are we now hypocrites (munafik)? We don’t want to topple Umno, Barisan Nasional (BN) just to have them replaced with another version,” Badrul Hisham added.
