KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 6 — The parents of a four-year-old boy who fell to his death from the Taman Perindustrial flat in Lembah Jaya here on Friday will be questioned by police.

Ampang Jaya OCPD, ACPD Khairuddin Saad said police were investigating the case under the Child Act 2001.

In the 8am incident, Muhammad Shahrul Harry Abdul Halim was believed to be playing alone on the balcony of his 10th floor home before he slipped and fell.

Eyewitnesses said they rushed to the scene when they heard an explosion like sound. A resident, who declined to be named, said she was shocked to see the victim lying motionless on a car.

Muhammad Shahrul was rushed to the Ampang hospital by his neighbour. However, he was pronounced dead at 1am on Saturday.

His remains were buried at the Taman Bukit Teratai cemetery at 1pm the same day. 

It was reported the boy was left in the house unattended when the mother left to send one of her children to school.
