NEW DELHI, May 8 — AirAsia India has added Gujarat’s commercial city Surat to its growing network and will start daily flights from June 1.

“Surat is a business hub, with a dominant presence of diamond and textile industries, and a large number of merchants travelling out of Surat for various business engagements.

“This makes it a great opportunity for AirAsia India to open up the market and empower them to travel faster at affordable costs,” the airline said in a statement.

AirAsia India is the first airline to connect Bengaluru and Surat via a direct service.
