NEW YORK, April 12 — Almost a month after being named a Tommy Hilfiger ambassador, British Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton is already trying his hand at fashion design with a first capsule for the American brand scheduled for fall. The collection logo was unveiled yesterday, at an event in Shanghai, China, reports Women’s Wear Daily (WWD).

Hot on the heels of Gigi Hadid — who worked on several collection collabs for Tommy Hilfiger —Hamilton is the latest ambassador signed up to design pieces for the American brand. On its Instagram account, the ready-to-wear label revealed several photos and videos showing its new ambassador referencing domains including art, street art, music and racing. Fashion website WWD reports that the Tommy x Lewis collection logo features the iconic colours of the Tommy Hilfiger flag and Hamilton’s initials in navy blue, in the same lettering as the racing driver’s tattoos.

This new collaboration comes nearly two months after the presentation of the fourth and final Tommy x Gigi collection, designed in partnership with supermodel Hadid, and which happened to be themed on motor racing.
