NEW YORK, Nov 16 — Yesterday, Shiseido-owned luxury beauty brand Cle de Peau Beaute announced British actress Felicity Jones as its new global face. The star succeeds Amanda Seyfried, a brand spokesperson for almost seven years.

The Japanese brand, specialising in luxury skincare and cosmetics, took to social networks to reveal its new global ambassador Jones. The brand said: “The Oscar-nominated actor epitomises the very core of the brand: Intelligent. Uncompromising. Exquisite.”

The first print and digital campaign fronted by the actress rolls out globally from January, when the Clé de Peau Beauté brand is also set to relaunch, reports Women’s Wear Daily. The relaunch will involve centring attention on the brand’s cult anti-ageing cream, “La Crème”, and boosting brand awareness internationally. That will be achieved, in particular, through a stronger social media and digital presence and, of course, by putting the new brand ambassador firmly in the spotlight.

Actress Felicity Jones is known for playing Jane Wilde Hawking in the biopic The Theory of Everything, a performance which bagged her an Oscar nomination. She has since starred in Inferno and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. — AFP-Relaxnews
