TOKYO, July 7 — Retailer Ryohin Keikaku has confirmed that the first Muji Hotel will open its doors to guests in Tokyo’s fashionable Ginza district in spring 2019.

According to Nikkei Asian Review, the property will be part of the 10-story Marronnier Gate Ginza complex, which is a two-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Ginza station.

A flagship store is expected to occupy several floors of the building, the report added.

As to be expected, all furniture and amenities will be from the popular normcore brand’s line-up.

The number of guest rooms and pricing have yet to be determined at time of writing.

However, one thing is for certain: despite its atas location, Ryohin Keikaku assures Muji fans that the hotel rates will reflect that brand’s reputation for reasonable prices.

Nikkei Asian Review said there are plans to open other Muji hotels overseas, with properties in Beijing and Shenzhen expected to begin operating as early as this year.
