LOS ANGELES, May 16 — The terminal shuffle at LAX is in full swing this week, with about one third of 70 airlines switching locations as part of the airport's major renovation project.

Delta Airlines is paying to relocate from Terminals 5 and 6 to Terminals 2 and 3... although for many passengers it's been a bumpy ride.

Traveller Shirley Grover says: “We told our Lyft driver terminal six but actually, that's where it's moving to so it's actually, technically today it's still terminal three.”

Some travellers have missed flights — they say, because of bad communications.

But LAX spokeswoman Mary Grady says there are more staff AND signage throughout the airport. She says: “As the airlines move overnight, the signs are all there. They're all ready. We're just going to peel away one layer and the new sign will reveal where that airline is now.”

Delta says the terminal move will allow an expansion of local operations, add seven passenger gates and cut down on taxi time.

Airport Officials say the current phase of reorganisation is set to be completed tomorrowe.
