NEW YORK, May 13 — Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis was undoubtedly one of the great style icons of the 20th century. On June 21, Christie’s New York will auction a one-of-a-kind wristwatch worn for decades by the former First Lady of the United States.

The timepiece has an estimate of US$60,000 — US$120,000 dollars (RM260,316-RM520,632).

Soon, one lucky bidder will get their hands on an exceptional watch, which was designed exactly 100 years ago, and has a place in history. The Jackie Kennedy-Onassis Cartier Tank will be the high point of Christie’s Rare Watches and American Icons New York sale on June 21.

This prestigious time-keeper was given to Jackie Kennedy-Onassis by her brother-in-law Stanislaw “Stas” Radziwill in 1963, and is engraved with the words “Stas to Jackie 23 February 63 2:05 am to 9:35 pm.”

The time refers to the beginning and end of a famous 50-mile run on Palm Beach in 1963.

The watch is engraved with the words 'Stas to Jackie 23 February 63 2:05 am to 9:35 pm.'

While the estimate for the watch is US$60,000 — US$120,000, it seems likely that it will go for a much higher price. We’ll find out on June 21. — AFP-Relaxnews
