NEW YORK, April 20 — TripAdvisor has pronounced the most beautiful islands in the world for 2016, with Maui topping the international list.
Awards winners are based on an algorithm that takes into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, attractions and restaurants over a 12-month period.
TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award winners for 2016 are split mostly between islands in Europe, the Caribbean and Asia.
Santorini tops the list of most beautiful islands in Europe, while Bali is where travellers will find the cheapest accommodation, at an average of US$67 (RM258) a night.
