NEW YORK, Sept 25 — Avon Products Inc’s philanthropic branch, Avon Foundation for Women, has launched a global campaign called #BeABreastFriend to raise awareness for breast cancer, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

The initiative is intended to get women to remind their friends to do regular breast exams and go to the doctor for check-ups.

A YouTube video will be available on Friday to highlight the cause, and Avon plans to launch a website AllForTheBreast.org on Monday for women with breast cancer to find necessary resources.

The Avon Foundation for Women has already raised over US$815 million (RM3.5 billion) since 1992 towards breast cancer research and awareness.
