NEW YORK, Dec 9 — American designer Jason Wu’s latest collection is a pared back take on autumnal elegance for Pre-Fall 2015.

Now also creative director at Hugo Boss, Jason Wu’s own namesake line has continued to blossom. For this season he’s worked with a typically Boss-like minimalism, mixed in with his own signature touches of glamorous metallics.

Fabrics include warm double-faced cashmere and leathers pulled into a mixture of tightly tailored dresses and coats, which were belted at the waist, some featuring asymmetric folds, and contrast lapels. Coats were worn with roll-neck sweaters. Other standout pieces include a dark tuxedo with wide-leg pants and an abstract metallic closure and a similarly shaped jumpsuit in a rich wool, as well as a slinky spaghetti strap gown with stunningly geometric lines of embroidery.

The accessories came in bottle green, which contrasted with the neutral tones (save for the deep ultramarine blue) of most of the collection, while footwear included plenty of pairs of minimalist high-heeled sandals. — AFP/Relaxnews
