KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 7 — Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) has teamed up with Visa to give Visa payWave cardholders a 20 per cent discount on a one-way fare from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Kuala Lumpur city centre.

ERL chief executive officer Noormah Mohd Noor said with the discount, passengers pay RM28 instead of the normal RM35 for a one-way trip on the KLIA Ekspres.

“Passengers travelling on KLIA Ekspres need only to wave their Visa payWave cards at the gates to enjoy this limited-time offer,” Noormah said in a statement today. “Our partnership with Visa has produced a great travel offer and both our customers benefit from it.”

Visa payWave uses Visa’s contactless payment technology, which can be found on Visa cards bearing the Visa payWave symbol, to enable Visa cardholders to make faster payments securely. It is aimed at improving customer experience by providing a quick, convenient and secure way to pay for rail fare.
