SINGAPORE, Feb 23 — Details for the third edition of Asia's 50 Best Bars have been announced, when the hottest, most innovative watering holes across Asia will get a shout-out.
On May 3, Singapore will host the 2018 edition of the awards to coincide with the Singapore Cocktail Festival which runs May 4 to 13.
The city-state is also home to the current titleholder of Asia's best bar.
At The Regent Singapore hotel's Manhattan bar, mixologist Philip Bischoff pays tribute to the Big Apple with a menu that travels all the way back to the 16th century, when the banks of the Hudson River were being settled by Europeans, to the late 19th century when the city began transforming with the arrival of Italian, Irish and Jewish immigrants.
The gala event will be held at the Capitol Theater, and attract Asia's top bartenders, influential bar owners and industry leaders.
The day after, an invitation-only forum will take place, in which prominent players will discuss the latest bartending topics and trends.
The ranking is determined by an influential group of 200 industry leaders across Asia's bar sector. Judges must also be able to vote for bars outside their country of residence. — AFP-Relaxnews
