NEW YORK, June 20 — If you’re the type of diner who places equal importance on the wine list and the food menu, you may want to consult Wine Enthusiast magazine’s list of America’s 100 Best Wine Restaurants.

Restaurants that cracked the top 100 are places where wine, food, service and atmosphere create stellar dining experiences, editors say.

Notable winners include the Four Horseman wine bar in Brooklyn, helmed by LCD Soundsystem member James Murphy and Ash in Chicago.

In addition to legendary wine establishments, the list also includes restaurants that push new and exciting trends in the market, said executive editor Susan Kostrzewa.

Restaurants are categorised under headings like “Classics,” “Laser Focus” for specialised wine lists, “Great Glass Programs” for restaurants with exceptional by-the-glass lists and “Grand Openings.”

The list is featured in the magazine’s August restaurant issue and is available online at http://www.winemag.com/100bestrestaurants2016/. — AFP-Relaxnews
