BANGKOK, May 27 — When the new season of Netflix series Chef’s Table returns today, one of its subjects will be acclaimed chef Gaggan Anand.

The Bangkok-based chef heads Gaggan Indian restaurant, which was ranked Asia’s Best Restaurant and 10th in the world in 2015.

The second season will also feature Grant Achatz of Alinea, Next, and The Aviary in Chicago, Alex Atala at DOM in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ana Ros of Hiša Franko in Kobarid, Slovenia, Dominique Crenn of Atelier Crenn in San Francisco and Enrique Olvera of Pujol in Mexico City.

Chef’s Table is the brainchild of American director David Gelb who made his name with the renowned documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi.

The series continues his passion for chef profiling by letting viewers go behind the scenes with a different world-renowned chef in each episode.

The first season released in 2015 featured Massimo Bottura of Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, Dan Barber of Blue Hill Restaurant in New York, Francis Mallmann of El Restaurante Patagonia Sur in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Niki Nakayama of N/Naka Restaurant in Los Angeles, USA, Ben Shewry of Attica Restaurant in Melbourne, Australia and Magnus Nilsson of Fäviken in Järpen, Sweden.
