NEW YORK, Sept 28 — Mooncakes and the Mid-Autumn Festival go hand-in-hand.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is observed on the 15th day of the eighth Lunar month each year when families would feast on mooncakes while the young ones carry lit lanterns around the neighbourhood to mark the occasion.

There are so many options available in the market now from both the traditional to the gourmet, that it's hard to narrow down what you should try.

BuzzFeed rounded up a group of people to try out mooncakes for the first time. Watch as they try the most traditional flavour Lotus Seed Paste to the more unusual Date mooncakes.
