KUALA LUMPUR, July 6 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak seemed to have found the kind of bubur lambuk that he craved for right in his own backyard, so to speak.
But the condition was that the Prime Minister must stir the Ramadan ‘must-have’ delicacy comprising rice, meat and spices, himself.
“I was thinking of where to get that delicious bubur lambuk and I have the answer, definitely in Pekan, Pahang… but I must stir it myself.
“Hopefully, my bubur lambuk will be received favourably by Pekan residents,” he said in his Facebook and Twitter entries.
Najib also shared a photograph showing himself in toque (chef’s hat), gloves and apron, gleefully stirring bubur lambuk with Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob while being observed by his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.
The occasion was held at the prime minister’s residence, Sri Kenangan Peramu Jaya in Pekan, Pahang, this afternoon.
Najib was in Pekan to present Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (Risda) dividends to smallholders and land titles to 172 Chini Timur 3 Felda settlers near Pekan.
He also broke the fast and attended terawih prayers with Pekan residents before presenting assistance to senior citizens and single mothers at Masjid Al-Muhajirin, Batu 8, Lepar. — Bernama
