KUALA LUMPUR, May 18 ― In response to the government’s move to zero-rate the Goods and Services Tax (GST) starting June 1, 2018, Proton Holdings Bhd is offering its customers service vouchers and cash rebates equivalent in value to the difference between pre- and post- GST prices of its cars.
“The offer is applicable to all Proton cars bought and registered from May 16-31, 2018 and supplements other sales promotions,” it said in a statement today.
Sales and Marketing Vice-President Abdul Rashid Musa said customers would not have to wait until June 1 to buy a new Proton as they could enjoy the savings ahead of time. ― Bernama
